Dr Kirstin Miteff

Dr Kirstin Miteff is a young and energetic, Sydney born andraised Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon. She relocated to Newcastlein 2017 with her family after completing her Plastic surgery training and anadditional two years' sub-specialty Fellowship training in Craniomaxillofacialsurgery.

After initially training as a Physiotherapist, Dr Miteffgraduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney in 2003. She then completedher internship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney before working in Perth,WA and the United Kingdom. Dr Miteff completed her preliminary surgicaltraining in Taranaki and Hamilton, New Zealand in 2007 and was accepted ontothe Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Training Program. She undertook her specialisttraining in Auckland, Hamilton (New Zealand) and Perth, WA. She has gainedextensive experience in General Plastic Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, HandSurgery and Cosmetic - Breast / Body and Facial Plastic Surgery.

In 2014 she was awarded Allergan Best Reconstructive Award -for her work with Scarless Latissimus Dorsi Flap for Breast reconstruction. Shewas awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plasticand Reconstructive Surgery in 2016.

She further specialised in Cleft and CraniomaxillofacialSurgery at her Fellowship at Hutt Hospital, Wellington and Lady CilentoChildren’s Hospital Brisbane.
